Skala Babosa Shampoo + Conditioner Kit 650ml is a complete cleansing and conditioning set for dry, unruly, curly and super-curly hair. The set contains a 325ml shampoo and a 325ml conditioner. Together, they cleanse, moisturize and condition the hair for a softer, smoother and more manageable finish.
In Brazil, aloe vera is commonly known as babosa. The Skala Babosa range is specially developed for curls in need of additional hydration and shine. The line’s featured conditioning ingredients are aloe vera, shea butter and D-panthenol.
The shampoo cleanses the hair and scalp and removes dirt, excess oil and product residue. Its formula contains cleansing ingredients including Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Cocamidopropyl Betaine. Conditioning ingredients such as Polyquaternium-10, a guar derivative, panthenol and aloe vera help prevent the hair from feeling unnecessarily rough or difficult to manage after cleansing.
The conditioner has a creamy base containing cetearyl alcohol, cetrimonium chloride and shea butter esters. These ingredients help soften the lengths, loosen tangles and improve manageability. The conditioner can be applied after shampooing, while Skala also provides directions for using it as a co-wash or pre-shampoo treatment.
Aloe vera is the signature ingredient of the Babosa range. It helps moisturize dry lengths and supports a soft, refreshed and shiny appearance.
D-panthenol, also known as provitamin B5, complements the moisturizing care of the formulas. It helps condition the hair and promotes softness, flexibility and improved manageability.
Shea butter and shea-derived ingredients add further softening properties. The shampoo contains PEG-75 Shea Butter Glycerides, while the conditioner contains Shea Butter Cetyl Esters.
The set is suitable for a wash-day routine in which cleansing and hydration work together. The shampoo first cleanses the hair and scalp, after which the conditioner softens the lengths and helps make dryness, tangles and roughness easier to manage.
Shampoo directions:
Thoroughly wet the hair. Apply an appropriate amount to the scalp and massage gently until a creamy lather forms. Distribute the lather through the lengths and rinse thoroughly. Repeat when necessary.
Conditioner directions:
After shampooing, apply an appropriate amount to clean, damp hair. Distribute evenly through the lengths and ends. Leave on for 1 to 3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
As a co-wash:
Apply a small amount of conditioner to thoroughly wet hair and distribute over the scalp. Gently massage with the fingertips as you would with shampoo and rinse thoroughly. Repeat only when additional cleansing is needed.
As a pre-shampoo treatment:
Divide dry, unwashed hair into sections and apply the conditioner. Leave on for approximately 15 minutes, rinse and continue with the Babosa Shampoo and Conditioner.
